We are a Maryland-based small business with experience in software implementation and training; website development and maintenance; force health planning; medical surveillance; records management; information systems development and maintenance; and help desk. SPS' staff members are currently supporting DoD health care in the areas of software implementation and training; document and records management; database design and management; requirements analysis; Information Assurance (Certification & Accreditation); data scanning and storage; web site design and development; data sharing and data interoperability; and enterprise architecture design. Our staff also supports Army personnel activities, with tasks including web application design and support, help desk, and records management.

SPS is led by Anthony DeNicola, former DoD Director for Information Technology for the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD P&R), and Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASDHA). He was responsible for all IT systems within the purview of USDP&R. He was also responsible for monitoring and reporting on deployment matters as they related to the health of the force, ensuring the development and implementation of force health surveillance systems and providing direct support to the War Fighter. He oversaw the integration of lessons learned from military deployments into joint and service doctrine, information technology systems, organizations, training, and policy to improve military deployments with respect to their effects on the health of the Force.

Since his departure from government service, Mr. DeNicola has provided assistance to the Department of Defense in the technical approach, development, implementation and training of projects like; the Medical Situational Awareness in the Theater (MSAT), the Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD), the Joint Patient Tracking Application (JPTA), Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS)and the Electronic Surveillance System for Early Notification of Community-based Epidemics (ESSENCE).

SPS has extensive experience in managing complex projects both large and small. Our senior management team comes from a variety of backgrounds to include: military, commercial and federal leadership. Our project managers average 20+ years of DoD experience on contracts similar, with most of our staff members maintaining active DoD security clearances. SPS currently holds a Top Secret facility clearance. SPS' staff includes DoD/VA electronic health record software trainers and implementation specialists, all of which carry ADP-II or higher security clearances.
